THE SHOP

We have been trading in Clerkenwell road in the centre of London for thirty years and the main watches we deal with are Omega, Longines, Rolex, Jaeger Lecoultre, amongst others. From the start we could not find old parts for the antique pocket watches and the vintage wristwatches, so we started to go to the precious metal merchants who used to buy scrap gold and silver. They would sell us the movements. Since then we have stored over 500,000 movements where we cannibalized them for parts .We also purchased old watch makers shops, their parts tools and materials, that's why we are still open and running and most shops have closed down. Our shop is a red shop near the junction of Clerkenwell road and St. John's Street, If you come and visit us, the shop has been the same for the past sixteen years and is a blast from the past. We repair most watches , and we can restore your watch to its original glory. We have our dial restorers who can professionally restore your dial to look like it is brand new. We have our watch glass makers for pocket watches or wristwatches , square or oblong glasses in glass or plastic. We also hold a large stock of leather straps ,military straps and bracelets,

One side of our window is currently the home of gold and silver pocket watches: hunters, half hunters , Omegas, Longines, English made watches and chronographs, etc., etc. Down the front of the window we have a selection of 60s and 70s watches and some art deco clocks and a small selection of lighters. The remaining window has a large selection of vintage wristwatches, Omega, Longines, Rolex, Jaeger lecoultre, military, first world war, etc., etc. We have many reference books, original adverts of watches and stories .Any thing you wish to discuss with us please do email us and we will try to answer your questions, or if you have any watches, movements etc. you wish to sell email us or give us a call.

ERROR AND OMISSIONS: Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that services, products and prices are accurate and clearly detailed Antique Watch Co UK cannot accept any liability for any error and omissions. Shipping And Handling All goods will need to be signed for upon delivery. All Orders taken will be dispatched, subject to credit card approval and availability. Goods are only available for dispatch within the United Kingdom and for any potential overseas customers.The items will be despatched within seven days, If items are out of stock or if stock is unavailable, the customer will be informed by email with the opportunity to wait for new stock or choose a nother one. It is not our policy to substitute items without the customer's explicit consent. Guarantee / Returns: If for any reason you are not entirely satisfied with any item purchased because it was described wrong or damaged then it must be returned the next working day in its original packing and unused ( Please note that watches are second hand ). Items Returned for refund will be subjected to a 10% handling charge plus postage. Should you need to return merchandise, please return via your local post office. Always obtain a receipt as proof of posting.

REPAIRS
We undertake most watch or pocket repairs,obsolete or modern, we do have a large selection of original parts for watches which we keep for peoples repairs some may take 2 to 4 weeks other watches that parts we are waiting may take longer, if this happends then cannot give the time it will be repaired, the rarer watches can take more time so we can scorce the parts , if the owners of the watches require the watches back after they have agreed for us to continue with the repairs, there will be an inspection fee of £25 to £75, if work has been done to near completion of the repairs the full repair price will be charged.
POSTING
Please do not send watches in there original boxes as these can sometimes be detached from the watch we will not be responsible, make sure that name and address, email address and telephone numbers are added to the email that the watch was discussed about
Please send watch and if a strap with the coroespondance between us you can use Post special delivery with in the UK
and the following rates apply in the UK. Royal Mail Special delivery will insure your watch up to £2,500 ,if you are unsure of the value of your watch go for the higher rate it only costs a little more.Enclose a copy of any correspondence and emails or the repair form Address the parcel to, Address the parcel to

Estimates are free but we charge our postage cost for returning un repaired watches.

Sending Watches from around the World
Make sure the watch is insured when posting to us but do not put the value of the watch on any customs form or we will be charge import duty. Mark your customer declaration a "Watch for repair has no value" but ensure you have confirmed compensation for loss or damage with your carrier or Post Office

Your statutory rights are not affected.
