OLD VINTAGE OMEGA BRITISH MILITARY PILOTS MANUAL WIND WRIST WATCH WITH  ORIGINAL FACE CIRCA 1953s

This watch is one of the most highly collectible of British Military watches.A British pilots/officers watch,
it is a much larger watch than the earlier 1940s military watch by omega, the WWW ( Wrist ,watch waterproof. ) of 1953  With central running seconds .This model is one of the more sort after Military issue pieces and seems to keep increasing in value., This was the last Military watch to use , Omega 30mm movement,  caliber 283 and had 17 jewels, incabloc shock protection and centre seconds sweep seconds wheel . The movement is numbered 12999349 and is finished in a rose gilt colour . it has a movement holder to keep the movement in place and the the dust cover fits over the top of the movement and the the screw on back presses  against a removable cap which covers the back of the movement. This is a very rare piece with original dial retaining the black finish with cream full Arabic numerals and large luminous bars at the quarter hour divisions and dots for the remainder, The case is a screw back and has the full Omega markings and the model number 2777 -1 SC inside, the case back has full British military markings,the broad arrow and 6645 101000, 6B/542 , 2796/53 .The watch measures 37mm Diam eter IS 48mm lug to lug and is 13mm high , it takes an 18mm strap and a new NATO BOND style strap is fitted to the watch.
